What is the difference between IPX6 and IPX7?
When I wrote the article on comparing the Max 2 and Calor, I was struck to read online that the Max 2 doesn’t seem to be waterproof whereas the Calor is. Yet Lovense assures us that the Max 2 is indeed waterproof. Strange, strange 🤔
The Max 2 is IPX6 rated
The difference in waterproofing between the Max 2 and the Calor is mainly a difference in protection rating—that famous IPX standard. The Max 2 is IPX6 rated, which means it’s protected against strong water jets (100l/min flow) but for a maximum of 3 minutes.
The Calor is IPX7 rated
The Calor benefits from Lovense’s latest advancements and features an IPX7 rating, making it waterproof for up to 30 minutes at depths of up to 1m. Handy for using in the shower but also… in the bath 🥵
