Lovense Gush: Flexible Hands-Free Glans Massager
It was thanks to a tweet that we learnt about the development of a new product at Lovense, the Gush, and this time it’s the blokes who are going to be chuffed.
What’s the promise of the new Lovense Gush?
Lovense tells us:

I wanted to do a more thorough review of the new Lovense Gush that came out a few days ago. I was lucky enough to get my hands on one pretty quickly and wanted to give you my thoughts on this toy. Please understand that these are MY impressions based on MY use of the toy. Results may vary depending on your usage or what others think. I’m just one voice in a sea of blokes using this toy.
I’ll first explain what this toy is and what it brings to the table. If you only want my opinion, skip ahead.
What’s included:
The toy comes in a very small and elegant box. It contains the Gush, a charging cable, a restraining strap and an instruction manual. Something that always bothers me is the amount of packaging that goes into sex toys, but the Gush was pretty minimal.
How it works:
The Gush has a small button to press and hold and it turns on, very similar to other Lovense products. It has standard settings for low, medium and strong vibrations, plus a few preset patterns. Whilst these are nice, the Remote app of course offers an infinite number of different patterns and levels you can send to the Gush.
Usage:
The toy is designed to fit onto your penis, manipulating it from underneath. The Gush comes with a strap you can put on to increase the squeeze, but it’s not necessarily needed. You can either strap the toy on and go hands-free, or stroke it yourself. Stroking it does require lube, though.
Cleaning:
Cleaning the toy is, as expected, pretty easy. Just rinse it under water and dry it with a towel and you’re done! Very straightforward compared to other male masturbators.
Vibration power:
It’s important to understand that this is a report based on my own use. I’m not personally a very sensitive person down there, so for vibrations to get me off quickly and hard, you’d need Hitachi-level power to manage that. If you regularly use hard vibrators on your member, don’t expect this toy’s vibrations to knock your socks off. That said, the vibrator’s maximum level is very strong for its size and purpose. It was strong enough for me to enjoy myself by combining it with stroking.
Toy design:
This is where my biggest criticism of the Gush itself comes in. The toy has strap ends that wrap around to attach to you. They hold pretty well on their own when you’re hard, but if you soften up, you might struggle to get a good grip without adjusting it yourself. The toy comes with a strap that can be used to tighten it and keep it in place… ideally. In practice, the strap isn’t very effective for this. Since the strap is separate from the toy, it tends to move and shift because it doesn’t tighten the same way. The strap then slips and doesn’t have the desired effect. The biggest downside is that the strap can pinch you between the folds if it slips badly. This makes using it really unpleasant, and after trying it a few times, I can’t see myself trying to use it again. The strap should have been part of the toy itself, and in my opinion, that was a very lazy design choice. It’s not really any different from a little wrist band. Having it as an integral part of the toy would stop it from slipping and give you a secure, tight grip. I’m able to enjoy the toy without it, but I’d like to be able to tighten it without hassle. For a good experience, I stroke the toy, which is possible thanks to lube.
Is the Lovense Gush compatible with Lovense Remote?
Yes, like all the other sex toys from Lovense. The Gush is no exception. It can be controlled remotely via the Lovense Remote app.
Conclusion
This new male sex toy has won me over. Its sleek design and powerful vibrations made it easy for me to reach orgasm, which is pretty much the point. With lube, it slides really smoothly and the sensation is really pleasant!
For blokes who’ve got larger than average equipment, I reckon it’s less suited, because as mentioned above the strap isn’t really optimised, but for average-sized members (which I’m part of ^^) it’s just ideal without the strap.
It’s a type of sex toy that’s really uncommon on the market and I really like this new design, plus it’s much simpler to clean than the usual sleeves.
